Welcome back and thanks for listening! Today we consider goodness, a term that is overused to the point of having little meaning today. “Good job” can mean a job well done or be dismissive or noncommittal. Goodness as a fruit of the spirit, however, speaks to integrity, excellence, and character that relates to every aspect of our lives and identities. God called creation good and then very good, and goodness as a fruit of the spirit speaks to God’s work to redeem us from sin and its consequences.
