Welcome back and thanks for listening! Today, we discuss three assumptions we all make in relation to the enneagram and why these assumptions are often wrong and misleading. Specifically, we discuss how (1) we assume we know someone’s type based on knowing them in a single context; (2) we assume we know someone’s type based on their interests or profession; and (3) we assume that at any given time we have a single level of health or stress across every aspect of our lives. Each of these assumptions is natural. Each one also often misleads us into putting other people and ourselves into a box in which we don’t belong while cutting us off from truly seeing and understanding each other for who we are.
